Red Larch is an important stop on the Long Road. It is named for the distinctive red larch trees that were cut down when the hamlet was first founded. The Cairn Road intersects the Long Road West-East through Red Larch.

Recently a cult of townsfolk named The Believers were outed as working with The Cult of the Black Earth and running the town secretly for many decades.

The Town has recently developed into a hub of economics, due to the discovery of the Floating floor, and it’s use to create stone-works in record time.

The People (who have become active friends to the party):

Kaylessa Irkell: Owner of the Swing Sword Inn, and newly voted Mayor of Red Larch. She still operates the Inn day to day, and is widely liked by the town.

Endrith Valivoe: A merchant of all things used and useful. He operates a shop where you can find just about anything you might need, eventually (including information).

Constable Harburk Tuthmarillar: The local lawman of Red Larch. He is a grateful friend to the party as they have helped the town in more ways than he could have alone.

Imdarr Relvaunder: A priest of Tempus in the Allfaiths Shrine, and an Order of the Gauntlet representative that initiated Joelle.

The Places:

Alfaiths Shrine: Operated by Imdarr Relvaunder

Swinging Sword Inn: Owned by Kayless Irkell. It provides free standing room and board for the adventurers, for all they’ve done to assist Red Larch.

The Helm at High Sun Tavern: Run by Garlen Harlathurl. A place of gossip and relaxation.

Mother Yalantha’s: A large boarding house owned by Yalantha Dreen. The boarding house has lost quite a few residents as the Believers were outed.

Thelorn’s Safe Journeys: A wagon crafter by the name of Thorsk Thelorn runs this shop. His work is widely known across the region.

Chansyrl Fine Harness: Phaendra Chansyrl runs this leatherworking shop known up and down the Sword Coast for it’s work.

Helvur Tarnlar, Clothier: Owned by Helvur and Maegla Tarnlar.

Lorren’s Bakery: Owned by the Gossip-monger Mangobarl Lorren.

Tantur Smithy: Eldras and Laefra Tantur tend to keep out of the town’s gossip, but are excellent parents, and have a great work ethic for their craft.

Drouth Fine Poultry: The owner, Nahaeliya Drouth is a supplier of poultry to inns all over the Dessarin Valley.

Jalessa Ornra, Butcher: This business is owned by Jalessa, who is also the lover of Constable Harburk.

Dornen Finestone: Now owned by Phaendra Chansyrl after the original owner Elak Dornen was outed as a Believer. She now uses the Quarry to supply masonry up and down the Sword Coast.

Ironside Arms: Feng Ironhead might not have the largest monopoly, but he is a fair and humble supplier of affordable and quality weapons to those in need.

Mhandyvver’s Poultry: The owner Minthra “Minny” Mhandyvver may not run the flashiest shop, but it is the favorite of the town residents.

Haeleeya’s: Haeleeya Hanadroum runs the Red Larch bathouse and a dress shop.

Waelvur’s Wagonworks: Ilmeth Waelvur’s niche was selling cheaper alternatives to Thelorn, and supplying an abundance of replacement parts. He left town when the Believers were outed, and the shop is now run by the smug halfling Stannor Thistlehair.

Gaelkur’s: Marlandro Gaelkur is the town’s barber, but also supplies used tools and goods in his shop.

Mellikho Stoneworks, now Chansyrl Stoneworks: Phaedra Chansyrl now also owns the Stoneworks and runs a vast Masonry markey up and down the Sword Coast.

Luruth’s Tannery: When the believers were outed, Luruth outed himself to the Constable out of shame. He is now being jailed far to the north, and his business workers are managed by the half-orc Feng Ironside.

Bethendur’s Storage: Aerego Bethendur was another Believer who was quickly discovered by the town, due to his unsavory business practices. He has since been sentenced, and the business was bought Mother Yalantha.

Valivoe’s Sundries: Endrith Valivoe runs this second-hand goods shop. It’s commonly known that he will supply young children of the town with goods and copper if they give him drama and gossip of the town’s residents. He is also an information contact for the Harpers.

The Quarry: Now primarily operated by a workforce under the employ of Phaedra Chansyrl, The quarry houses a magical surface, in which objects placed upon it can be freed from the effects of gravity, and manipulated as if they were weightless. This has led to the quick, and mass production of large scale masonry works, which has bolstered the economy of Red Larch.
